Jon McMillen has been active in the design and construction industry for over 20 years, and his construction background is invaluable to the project team. Beginning as a custom home builder and working on commercial projects, Mr. McMillen now manages redevelopment projects from conceptual design through completion. His role has been diverse, and has included property acquisitions, tenant relocation, Pro Forma analysis and coordination of the many consultants needed to bring a project to fruition.

Mr. McMillen's involvement as Contract Project Manager was instrumental in the success of the Vista Dunes Courtyard Homes project in La Quinta. Once a dilapidated mobile home park, Vista Dunes is now an award winning, LEED Platinum certified 80-unit neighborhood affordable to very low-income families. He led the effort in relocation of the residents, management of design and construction, development economics, and coordination with the current operator.

Mr. McMillen was also the construction manager for the substantial rehabilitation of another award-winning project, 525 Orange Avenue, a 16-unit apartment building in Coronado. He is currently overseeing the renovation of the historic Village Theatres for the City of Coronado. Other recent assignments have included Pro Forma analysis for the SilverRock Resort, as well as property acquisition and development solicitation for the 218-unit Dune Palms Apartment development, both in La Quinta. He is currently working with the City of Twentynine Palms to analyze and identify significant environmental hazards and natural resources for the update to the city's General Plan.

Mr. McMillen's natural progression from general contractor to redevelopment consultant has allowed him to aid and benefit a more diverse population, especially as an advocate for affordable and sustainable housing. He is driven by his commitment to quality and excellence, and the results are evident in any project he undertakes.
