Rosa Romero joined RSG in 2007 and has nine years of experience in real estate and affordable housing. Before joining RSG, Ms. Romero was a Senior Loan Processor responsible for pre-underwriting loans and monitoring compliance documents for single-family and multifamily transactions. Ms. Romero has been able to translate that experience into helping clients successfully navigate the abundant and complex compliance aspects of the affordable housing arena.

Ms. Romero's primary duties at RSG are project management support, interfacing with clients, and compliance reporting. She is involved in the administration of low- and moderate-income housing and subsidy programs including applicant eligibility review, document preparation, and annual monitoring activities. Ms. Romero supports the Program Administrator and/or Oversight Agent responsibilities for bond requirements for 11 city- and agency-assisted multifamily projects and 23 mobile home projects throughout the State of California.

Since 2007, Ms. Romero has been involved in an ongoing assignment for the City of San Marcos in eligibility review and loan underwriting services for the City's First-Time Homebuyer Loan Program and Rehabilitation Loan Program. In this assignment, Ms. Romero serves as the City's liaison and face in the community, working one-on-one with applicants to determine their eligibility. She also provides ongoing reports to Agency staff on the compliance status of participants in these two programs.

In 2009, RSG was retained by the City of Riverside to conduct inspections for 166 affordable units located in projects subsidized with HOME funds. Ms. Romero was involved in conducting all inspections of the units and common areas and preparing reports to ensure the projects' compliance with development agreements and the Agency's annual monitoring requirement under California Community Redevelopment Law.

Recently, Ms Romero has been involved with an ongoing contract for the Fontana Redevelopment Agency to conduct compliance audit, monitoring reports, and inspections of affordable units subsidized with HOME funds.

Ms. Romero enjoys playing a key role in RSG's affordable housing services and having the opportunity to work collaboratively with local jurisdictions and their community residents.
