Brandon Fender
Research Assistant
Brandon Fender joined RSG as a Research Assistant in 2009, while completing his undergraduate coursework at the University of California, Irvine. Mr. Fender has gained experience in redevelopment planning and financing as a member of numerous project teams. Mr. Fender specializes in research and spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems software. His maps have been included in implementation plans, redevelopment plans and amendments, city council meeting presentations, and urban design projects. Additionally, he has worked on redevelopment bond issues, urban site analysis, and affordable housing production and expenditure models.
In October of 2009, Mr. Fender was involved in two fiscal consultant reports for the Sparks Redevelopment Agency in Sparks, Nevada. The purpose of the reports was to provide forecasts of tax increment revenues for the Agency's two redevelopment project areas: Town Center and Redevelopment Area 2. Mr. Fender specifically focused on researching and analyzing historic assessed values, billed taxes, land use assessments, casino foreclosures, and top-ten taxpayer assessments and detailed profiles.
Mr. Fender enjoys creating equitable, sustainable, and sociopetal urban space for communities. He thrives in a challenging environment and seeks to provide innovative and ecological solutions.
