On Monday, August 24th, the City of Westminster will begin accepting applications for their Small Business Emergency Relief Grant Program. Designed to support small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program will provide $5,000 grants to Westminster businesses with 10 or fewer employees. The grant program is funded by federal CARES Act stimulus funds distributed to Orange County and then allocated by the County to the five county supervisorial districts.
Businesses eligible for the grant program have either temporarily closed or lost more than 25% of revenue due to the pandemic. Businesses must have been unable to access capital through alternative federal/state funding sources, such as Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) or the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
The application window is Monday, August 24th through Sunday, August 30th. The application can be accessed at the following link: https://bit.ly/WMBizGrant
The City of Westminster hired RSG to assist with program design and to create the marketing materials, application, and revenue certification form. RSG will also conduct the lottery to determine grant recipients and then review applications and supporting documentation to verify compliance with eligibility requirements.
