RSG Congratulates The Good Beer Company on their 1-year Anniversary

It is no secret that RSG’s office setting is extremely unique, with us sharing space with The Good Beer Company. The story goes…a few years ago RSG found itself with the entire 1st floor of this beautiful historic building in downtown Santa Ana available for a re-purposing. A former employee thought this was an opportunity to pursue his passion for community building and making good beer, and so turned an idea into a full-fledged business.

The Good Beer Company is a place to come and enjoy a cold brew after a hard day’s work. Brandon Fender and his wife, Robyn Spevacek have turned the 1st floor of a 3-story office into the perfect brewing laboratory by adding a 15-barrel copper-clad brewhouse, four stainless steel fermenters, and a small tasting room. At exactly 5:00pm, Wednesday through Friday, RSG staff is pleasantly reminded of the day’s end by the sound of music filtering up to the 3rd floor and the jovial clanking of beer glasses. Once inside the historic building, you are graciously greeted by a brewmaster and immediately drawn to the big brew equipment and the open layout. Brandon and Robyn constantly experiment with different ingredients for what they call “dry-hopped variations, aging in oak barrels, and hybridized styles”.

Whenever a new batch of brew is ready, Brandon and Robyn have a release event for their new beers and you can feel the energy all the way up to the top floor. I have left work on a few occasions only to be met by a huge line of people waiting for their newest GBC Bottle. Excited beer aficionados waiting for the latest of what they describe as a hoppy Pacific Coast American-style beer and/or fruity yeast-driven farmhouse style beer.

If you wish to participate in The Good Beer Company’s 1-Year Anniversary Celebration, it will be today, Friday, October 30, 2015 around 5:00pm. RSG would like to congratulate The Good Beer Company on their first year of business and, most importantly, their lifetime commitment to community!
